Herbert Cady is a retired pediatrician who hung up his stethoscope after forty-one years of practice to write fiction. In his youth, he was interested in firearms, motorcycles, and sports cars; these play varying roles in his stories, as do his medical experiences. He is married and lives in Philadelphia and Damariscotta, Maine, while frequently traveling in Colorado.
